Sheila E. Murphy has been collaborating with Douglas Barbour since November of 2000 on their continuing poetic series titled Continuations. The University of Alberta Press has just published volume 2 of this work. The initial volume also appeared from the U of A Press in 2006. Murphy is a prolific poet and visual artist, whose most recent individual titles are American Ghazals (Otoliths Press, 2012) and Noun that I’ve Been Watching (White Sky Books, 2012). Murphy has lived all of her adult life to date in Phoenix, Arizona. She is a principal and co-founder of the consulting firm Executive Advisement, LLC, headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona, with offices planned for additional locations in the eastern United States.
