Sue Brannan Walker is the Stokes Distinguished Professor of Creative Writing at the University of South Alabama. She was Poet Laureate of Alabama from 2003-2012. She is the author of The Ecological Poetics of James Dickey, critical articles on Flannery O’Connor and Carson McCullers, and seven books of poetry, fiction, and drama.
